John Kerry: Renewing His "Anti - US Troops" Dumbass Status

News Flash: The "smartest man in America" has stepped in it - yet again! Just when one starts to wonder if John Kerry has finally learned to mind his words, he is right on time - just like the world-famous time-pieces from that French-speaking, historically pacifistic alpine country in which young Kerry spent one of his formative years attending that exclusive elitist school (where he got reeeeeeeeeally educated).

Of course, I'm speaking of this monumentally offensive faux pas from our (self-styled Vietnam) hero during a campaign event in California:

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq."

Yes, that is a direct quote and in context. Ya' just couldn't beat this one - even with an imaginary well-placed, intentionally spun "Rovian" misquote! And it's even better when you watch the video!

Ya' think he might be just a tad bit elitist? Can he honestly believe that our modern military is made up of folks who either washed out or didn't go to college? Does this moron ever look at things like statistics? Here is a little something special...just for YOU from our troops (click here)

Understandably, the veritable excrement has impacted the propeller on this one. But instead of nipping this thing in the bud with a quick "Oops - sorry, that came out completely wrong!," our featured Dumbass decided to go to war against those who called him out. In a hastily called news conference in Seattle yesterday, Kerry defiantly trumpeted:
"I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy. If anyone owes our troops in the fields an apology, it is the president and his failed team."
Of course, his spin on this (latest) Freudian moment:

"(It was) a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops ... and they know that's what I was talking about."

Then, if that wasn't bad enough, he decided to act really tough on his Republican detractors - especially the White House Press Secretary Tony Snow:
"This is the classic GOP playbook. I’m not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium."
And of course, there was this little tidbit:

"Despicable Republicans are afraid to stand up and debate a real veteran on this topic. And they're afraid to debate — you know, they want to debate straw men because they're afraid to debate real men."

Earlier today, on the radio program Imus in the Morning:
"(I am) sorry about a botched joke."

Then, after an army (sorry, couldn't resist!) of politicians from both sides of the aisle swarmed him like flies on (Heinz) ketchup, Kerry issued this half-baked written apology on his website:

"As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: My poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop. I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended."

It only took the man two days of throwing a tantrum to finally realize it was flip-flop time (again). You know, reminiscent of that famous Kerryism from the 2004 campaign:

"I voted for the 87 Billion, before I voted against it."

And what about this "combat veteran" and "real men" stuff. Is it really wise for this traitorous Hero of Hanoi to bring all of that up again, given the legions of real heroes and their personal accounts of John Kerry's battlezone lies, self-promotion, command ineptitude, self-injury, falsified medal citations and the ultimate abandonment of his unit less than six months into his tour? And what about the POWs who paid the price for Kerry's illicit meeting with the Hanoi delegation in Paris, propagandizing of the Vietnam War, throwing his (self-awarded) medals at the Capitol steps, or that other public statement he made in 1971 that played so well over North Vietnamese and Cambodian airwaves - in which he claimed his fellow G.I.s:

"...raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country."

Which reminds me of another statement made by this Dumbass less than a year ago, where he stated:

"There is no reason ... that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the -- of -- the historical customs, religious customs."

Hmmmm...my Dumbass Pattern Detector just went off. It would seem that our erstwhile hero has a habit of making such statements against our own military - and yet he would have us believe otherwise. Sounds kinda' like your standard Liberal politician, who gets scared and changes position with every slight gust of hot air.

Not much of a real man, after all...certainly not the kind that is invited to campaign events for fellow Democrats hoping to get elected. In fact, it turns out that Kerry has been yanked from the campaign trail completely. Or is he too busy with his lawsuit against the Swift Vets and POWs for Truth, and the authors of the book and subsequent movie that revealed the level of his treachery, Stolen Honor.

In all seriousness though, Senator Kerry, thank you so much for being you. Without question, you are the gift that keeps on giving to the Republican party - and if the GOP manages to hold onto both houses next Thursday, you will definitely be part of the reason. You have again shown what your elitist party is all about. My only hope is that you become your party's candidate again in 2008 so we can see what a much more prepared and organized mix of veterans organizations have in store for you.

"The View" of a Rosie Cheeked Dumbass

Well, the "Queen of Nice" (now morphed into the "Queen of Mindless Liberal Babble") has done it again...this time within a week of starting a brand new TV gig. As the new co-host (notice I didn't say "co-hostess") of "The View," no one could have imagined a replacement that might make many viewers pine for the return of the almost-equally-ridiculous Starr Jones. That is, until Rosie opened that gaping maw and did what she does best these days...made an ass out of herself (see the upper right-hand image on this page! ;-).

Now, I am not about to jump on the bandwagon out there that is calling her some unsavory and insensitive things that make fun of her excessive weight, homosexuality, or other nonsense. Those are not among the reasons that I have awarded Rosie the coveted DOTW Crown!!! I honestly have no problem with homosexuality - but in Rosie O'Donnell's case I think it germane to point out that a "lady" like her might just be as revolting to most men as they are to her. Some otherwise poor slob out there should be on his knees thanking God that he did not have to put up with this one!

Oh right...about God. According to her comments made on the most recent installment of this televised estrogen-fest, Rosie wouldn't like that "God" comment very much! In fact, it would seem that she finds Christians as disgusting as she does men.

"Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state."

Hon, what planet have you been living on? It would seem to me ROSIE that, were you to practice your particular sexual preference in, say, Iran, you would be anything but popular, well-paid, happy...or perhaps even alive. I don't see any Christians knocking down the gate to your Hollywood mansion looking for a stoning of the "sexual deviant." What, don't like that turn of phrase? Well, you would soon learn it in the Muslim world - and likely in Arabic or Farsi (Persian).

You see, Rosie O' has now decided that having come out of the closet, she can be EXACTLY who she is...which is anything but the Queen of Nice. I would further argue that she is not the Queen of Research, the Queen of Logic nor the Queen of World Events in any capacity.

Like many Liberals, O'Donnell espouses the constitution and our supposed "loss of civil liberties"...and yet has a massive problem with the Second Amendment. That is, unless it is her bodyguard carrying the weapon, as was the case in 2000 when he entered her adopted child's school parking.

"You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun, I think you should go to prison."

Even futher back, while she was still considered "nice," Rosie was working hard on her unhinged persona that we now know a love (to laugh at). According to "Wikipedia:"

"In 1999, O'Donnell interviewed actor Tom Selleck, who was promoting a film. During the interview, in what some critics perceived as an "ambush," O'Donnell confronted him about his stance on guns and his involvement with the NRA, making it an infamously tense TV moment. The interview was controversial as according to Selleck, the two agreed not to discuss the topic prior to his appearance on the show. She maintains that he and his publicist had been informed that the topic would be discussed."

"Also in May 1999, Bernadette Peters and the rest of the cast from Annie Get Your Gun was to appear for taping and perform the song "Anything You Can Do." O’Donnell insisted that the line "I can shoot a partridge with a single cartridge" be removed from the song. Peters refused, and the cast sang a different song without Peters. Later in 1999, O'Donnell discontinued her contract with Kmart as their spokeswoman, because of her opinion of the large retailer's sale of firearms."

Like many celebrities, Rosie O'Donnell did not finish college, has never held a political office nor has she served in the military - yet she feels qualified and compelled to dictate policy and military doctrine to the rest of us. Her lack of qualifications and penchant for putting her foot squarely in it reminds me a bit of a few other Celebrity Dumbasses who have graced this site in the past (see Chazz's tributes to Ben Affleck , Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Donald Sutherland and Kanye West).

To wrap this up, I will repeat myself from previous posts. If you are a singer (as in Dixie Chics' Natalie Maines), just S.T.F.U. AND SING ALREADY! Same goes for other celebrity performers...so Rosie, here is my advice: Keep your idiotic and childish politics to yourself and TRY to be funny again! Seems to have been quite some time since you were.

Adam Yehiye Gadahn - "American Al-Qaida" Dumbass

Let me just start with the obvious - here we have a(n) (obviously) disillusioned young man of 28 who seems to suffer from the Madonna school of (badly) affecting foreign accents. In her case, it is supposed to be an English accent she is impersonating (remember, Madonna + Acting ain't exactly Cheese + Crackers); for Adam, he is (vainly) attempting to emulate his Islamic thug heroes. In both cases, they make themselves look foolish - especially to those they are trying to fit in with.

Just days before the 5th anniversary of 9-11, Adam (a.k.a. "Azzam the American") Yehiye Gadahn made his second big-time appearance - with his new pal, Al-Qaida's number two Ayman Al-Zawahir - on a videotape released on an Islamic militant web site earlier this month. But unlike his July 7th debut, in this 48-minute video he was given a much more starring role - suggesting that Al-Qaida believes him to be someone who can communicate effectively with Americans (DOH! Revisit first paragraph IRT communication skills).

Zawahiri had simply opened the segment with a brief introduction to the video and a call to Americans to convert to Islam. (Yeah, I'll get right on that, Ayman buddy).

This sad and confused lad Adam actually delivered something like a lecture in the video, chastising Christians and Jews in "Bush's crusades" while praising the successes of his new idols in Iraq and Afghanistan and at times directing his comments to U.S. troops. Some snippets of Adam's "recruiting pitch" to the Soldiers:

"Instead of killing yourself for Bush ... why not surrender to the truth (of Islam)? Escape from the unbelieving army and join the winning side. Time is running out so make the right choice before it's too late...."

"You know that if you die as an unbeliever in battle against the Muslims you’re going straight to Hell without passing GO ... You know you’re considered by Bush and his bunch of warmongers as nothing more than expendable cannon fodder ... You know they couldn't care less about your safety and well-being."

According to the Associated Press:

"Gadahn grew up in rural simplicity on a ranch southwest of Hemet, California. His father, Philip, said he moved there in the 1970s to escape the noise and traffic of the city, changing the family name from Pearlman because he was starting a new life...

--His family name was "Pearlman"? Imagine that...

"The family tried raising goats as a business, but it wasn't profitable and they now keep them just to eat the grass around the home as fire protection."

--I wonder what may have happened if the Pearlmans got a lawnmower and made their shiftless son mow the friggin grass! And growing up with all those goats just had to have an affect on the poor boy...d'ya think he dated any girls? (Naaahhhhh....

"Gadahn (chose to) move to the suburbs of Los Angeles where he became a Muslim and worshipped at the Islamic Society of Orange County. The mosque later expelled him for attacking one of its leaders."

--They were probably making fun of his fake Arabic accent. Kids can be SO CRUEL!

From an MSNBC article, dated May 27, 2004:

"Gadahn was home-schooled at the family farm in Riverside County. He did not attend college. Omar said the family was a 'more or less Christian household, but no one was particularly religious.'"

--Home schooled by a Jewish familiy that was suffering a crisis in both identity and religion? No chores? No college? Goats for friends? Jeeeeez...no wonder this plump fuzzy-cheeked young'un turned out to be such a messed up Freakazoid!

So "Azzam" disappeared from the U.S. soon after the 9-11 attacks in 2001 - perhaps because he thought those burning towers he saw on his television while petting his goat and scarfing cheese-fries was a vision from Allah?

In 2004, the FBI announced it was seeking Gadahn in connection with possible terrorist threats against the U.S. But by the looks of our soft, erstwhile countryman, I would not expect to see him take up arms or explosives for his newfound cause anytime soon. Those American Soldiers he presumed to lecture to might not play as nice-nice as those meanies in the California mosque who kicked him to the curb.

No, Azzam will enjoy his shortlived celebrity / pariah status until he is no longer deemed useful, and I predict he will be abandoned as unceremoniously by his new handlers as a torn sandal in a Baghdad alley; left with just the "pariah" thing to live - or die - with.

Kofi Annan - International Dumbass of Mystery

Don't ya just love this guy? Here is the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, who couldn't be clearer about his hatred of the United States if he were to throw excrement out of the windows of his lush U.N. office onto the New York City streets below.

Evidence of his anti-U.S./Israel stand, along with his sheer ineptitude, has followed this tribal son of Ghana. Tainted by such trivial annoyances as:

Sexual harrassment investigations of his staff

Huge (millions and billions in U.S. dollars) bribes to his son and representatives of several nations in the Iraqi Oil-for-Food Program

Allegations of U.N. personnel committing rape and theft in Africa
Strong condemnation of the Danish "Mohamed Cartoons" and luke-warm comments concerning Islamic anti-Israel cartoons and articles
Ass-kissing Iran, Syria and Hezbollah

Sorry, but I think this weak and ineffective leader really needs to go. He is either cashing in or repaying favors in United Nations corruption. At every opportunity, Annan just loves to blast the U.S. and Israel.

Kofi Annan, at a news conference in Tehran:

"On the nuclear issue, the president (of Iran) reaffirmed to me Iran’s preparedness and determination to negotiate and find a solution to the crisis." He added that Ahmadinejad had told him Iran "does not accept suspension (of uranium enrichment) before negotiations", as demanded by the U.N. Security Council.

All of this just two days after Iran thumbed its nose at the world. Am I crazy, or does it not seem that the esteemed leader of the United Nations got his ass kicked in all of this? Perhaps he would have done better sticking to his appeasement, er, talks with the "nation" of Hezbollah?

Just to let you folks know, Chazz has decided to give up the blogging life due to family and professional concerns (understandable, as I am still on blog-vacation myself).

Anyhow, as I am currently rebuilding my blog Righting America at this time, and I was quite actively involved in this site anyhow (design and image hosting), it seemed natural to simply take over for my friend Chazz.

Therefore, I will be assuming Dumbass Of The Week and doing some site tweaking over the next few weeks. Look for this site to go active again, along with my Righting America site, some time in August if the reconstruction of both sites goes well.

Thanks to Chazz for all of his work in building up the readership in this site, and I hope that I can do him proud. Best of luck to you my friend, and come visit us often!

Like the Duck Says in the Commercial: "AFFLECK!"

Ben Affleck is full of surprises. On the positive, he is an Oscar Winner for his collaboration with his (much more talented) childhood friend Matt Damon in "Good Will Hunting." He has even bedded such notable babes as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner - with whom he remains. For now.

Recent Ben-Quote on Bill Maher: “(President Bush) probably also leaked Valerie Plame’s name and so if he did, you can be hung for that! That’s treason! You could be killed. That’s not a joking around Tom DeLay ‘I’ll do a year, I bribed the state officials with corporate money.’ That’s like they shoot you in the battlefield for doing that.”
But Affleck is also surprising in other, not so positive ways. For an Oscar Winner, the guy really stinks as an actor and is lucky to have had Damon's coat-tails to hold onto. I mean, come on! Pearl Harbor? Dare-Devil? Gigli? The guy who seemed to have such promise has been forced to look at other avenues. Poker? Okay - why not. Screen-writing? Hey, if it's better than his lame acting it's all good. Politics? WOAHHHH there Benny!? Let's look at that for a sec.

Didn't make it into Harvard with Matt, so he went to the University of Vermont - lasting one semester. He then got clearance from his Mom to fly off to Hollywood, so long as he stayed with family friends and got back into college. He lasted a year at Occidental College in Eagle Rock, CA before finally giving up on higher education. So much for the educational groundwork for politics.

While trying to help the Gore campaign in 2000 "get out the vote," Ben was so busy telling people to make sure and get to the polling stations in time that he never actually got around to voting himself (ya gotta love the Smoking Gun!).

In an interview with GQ magazine, Affleck had this to say:

"My fantasy is that someday I'm independently wealthy enough that I'm not beholden to anybody, so I can run for Congress on the grounds that everyday people—be they singers or poets or bankers or lawyers or teachers—should be in government."

Now is it just me, or did he equate becoming "independently wealthy" with "everyday people" in running for office? Certainly, his candidate for 2004 John Kerry would qualify - for one of those anyway. And doesn't it seem like Ben's support is sorta' like the kiss of death to these guys? Hmmmm. Here are some other choice quotes from our famous and not-so-bright Dumbass Of The Week:

"I'm always described as 'cocksure' or 'with a swagger,' and that bears no resemblance to who I feel like inside. I feel plagued by insecurity."

Looking at some of these gems of wisdom, I can see why!

"My mother gets all mad at me if I stay in a hotel. I'm 31-years-old, and I don't want to sleep on a sleeping bag down in the basement. It's humiliating."

Hmmmmm - the Mom thing again. I see a pattern developing here....can you say "Momma's Boy?"

"Yes, I'm going to be the President of the United States. You know why? You think you can get chicks by being in the movies? You can really get chicks by being the President."

Hey, don't laugh! This DUMBASS is actually thinking of running for Virginia Senator (Democrat, of course) in 2006 against incumbent George Allen. Hey, I SAID DON'T LAUGH!!! Just because Ben Affleck could not debate a pimple on Allen's ASS does not mean that people are not stupid enough to vote for him.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney "Racing" to be Our Dumbass!

In a story that just keeps getting better and better, Georgia Democrat Cynthia McKinney shows her "true colors" in an extraordinarily transparent attempt to get away with assaulting a white Capitol Hill police officer. She's not just "playing a race card" - it would seem that her entire hand is made up of them!

For those who somehow don't know, last Wednesday Congresswoman McKinney attempted to skirt a security checkpoint while entering a House Office Building - without her congressional identification pin and despite repeated calls from the policeman manning the post to stop. After the cop stopped her progress with a hand on her shoulder, McKinney lost her temper - then SLAPPED THE COP!

Since then, the Capitol Police Force have asked the Federal Government to issue an arrest warrant for assault - which is still pending at this time. McKinney, scrambling to counteract this looming threat to her political career, has decided to invoke her perceived God-given right as a black woman to play victim of a "racist white cop."

Her first public statement about the incident - before learning of the planned arrest warrant: "Earlier today I had an unfortunate confrontation with a Capitol Hill Police Officer....I was urgently trying to get to an important meeting on time to fulfill my obligations to my constituents. Unfortunately, the Police Officer did not recognize me as a Member of Congress and a confrontation ensued. I did not have on my Congressional pin but showed the Police Officer my Congressional ID. I know that Capitol Hill Police are securing our safety, that of thousands of others, and I appreciate the work that they do. I deeply regret that the incident occurred. I have demonstrated my support for them in the past and I continue to support them now."

ALMOST sounds like an apology - but not quite accepting responsibility for her actions. Reading this, you wouldn't think she had actually bitch-slapped a cop.

On the defensive - from her (civil rights) attorney James Myart on Thursday: “Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin. Ms. McKinney is just a victim of being in Congress while black...Congresswoman McKinney will be exonerated.”

Does this remind anyone else of an impetuous young child, who smacked another child for no reason and is now desperately trying to shift blame to that child for something much worse? What, are we FIVE?!

In a statement posted to the internet (which she has retracted and/or denies), McKinney wrote: "Do I have to contact the police every time I change my hairstyle? How do we account for the fact that when I wore my braids every day for 11 years, I still faced this problem, primarily from certain white police officers"

Now, I ask you gentle readers -- compare the image in this article with that in the "Dumbass" graphic at the top. Seems to have changed her hair from Alfalfa to Buckwheat, her make-up from Oprah to Whoopi. Am I wrong? Would you have recognized this woman (out of 535 Capitol Hill politicians) blowing past YOUR checkpoint without her Congressional Pin?

She has cried out for assistance from the ACLU, Danny GLover, Harry Belefonte, and the entirety of the Georgia Black Whiners Society (or whoever they are) and others, because this incredible moron is just smart enough to realize one thing -- she could go to jail for smacking a cop. But the SILENCE IS DEAFENING from the forty-something other black members of Congress. NOT A SINGLE ONE has stepped up to help her out on this one!

Hey, you can't make this crap up any better than this - but it gets even better.

A local Atlanta news station found something else! "Channel 2 Action News has uncovered documents showing McKinney, D-Ga., spent about $1,000 of taxpayer's money to fly singer Isaac Hayes to Georgia to help dedicate a new office in Atlanta. The money came from a fund members of Congress are supposed to use for office supplies. (This is a) violation of strict congressional rules..."

Of course, McKinney's staff has immediately come forward to say that they will reimburse this fund for this "oversight."

In all of this, I have been very curious as to what exactly was this idiotic woman's almighty hurry on a Wednesday afternoon? What does she do, exactly, in order "to fulfill (her) obligations to (her) constituents?" Here are two examples of this Congresswoman's "important works:"

1) Chaired a Congressional hearing last year "on whether the Bush administration was involved in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001."

2) Introduced into the House of Representatives the Tupac Shakur Records Release Act of 2006 "for the purpose of fully informing the American people about the history surrounding the life and death of ("gangsta" rapper) Tupac Amaru Shakur."

Had enough? Many of the folks in the Fourth District of Georgia have too. According to one outraged constituent:

"She has long been known for things like advocating for disastrous Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe who ran white farmers off their land, turning the country from a breadbasket to a basket case; cozying up with and receiving campaign donations from all kinds of terrorist sympathizers; indulging in the anti-Jewish hatefest at an infamous conference in Durban, South Africa in 2001 even after the U.S. withdrew most of its participation; and for having a blatantly anti-Semitic father in the Georgia State Legislature whose prejudices just may have rubbed off on her."

Hmmm - all this kinda' makes you wonder. Going back to the incident on Wednesday, who exactly is the racist? A diligent Capitol Hill Policeman - who happens to be white? Or a joke of a congresswoman who considers herself above the commoners - who happens to be black?

Alec Baldwin ~ Radio DUMBASS

Fleeing from a radio talk show like a little girl whose pigtails had been pulled, Alec Baldwin showed his true colors last night after Sean Hannity and Mark Levin called in to have a nice "chat" with him. After several minutes of mutual bashing between the three, Baldwin apparently decided that he could dish it out - but just couldn't take it. Host Brian Whitman, of New York's WABC radio (770 AM), tried unsuccessfully to get him back.

Sean Hannity was trying to get Baldwin to defend his outrageous comments against U.S. Leaders during a time of war - and obviously meant to invoke that famous Alec Baldwin temper-tantrum...which he eventually did by exchanges such as this:

HANNITY: Alec, I wanted to give you an official WABC welcome considering you were supposed to come on my program last week and you didn't show up. What happened?

BALDWIN: No, I wasn't supposed to come on your program, Sean Hannity.

HANNITY: No, actually you were supposed to come on the program because a deal was made with your agent that if you were going to come on with Brian, first you'd come on with me.

BALDWIN: I wouldn't dream of coming on your program, Sean Hannity. I'm here with Brian. I'm here with a really talented broadcaster.

HANNITY: [Crosstalk] that you are, you don't tell the truth.

BALDWIN: Why would I want to come on the show with a no-talent, former construction worker hack like you?

HANNITY: Are you the guy that said of our vice president, while we’re at war, while we’re leading troops in harm’s way – are you the reckless, third-rate Hollywood actor who said that Dick Cheney is a terrorist? Are you the guy . . .

BALDWIN: Yes I am.

Susan Sarandon ~ A DUMBASS To Portray a DUMBASS

Attending a Moonbat-studded event yesterday, called "Bring 'em Home Now," Queen of the Moonbats Susan Sarandon announced that she would be bringing (fellow Moonbat) Cindy Sheehan to the Silver Screen. Alert the Media - THIS sounds like NEWS!

While the two fawned over each other at the event, other nutcases gave interviews and performed - Michael Stipes of R.E.M. and MOBY, among other famous flakes. A bit on Sheehan - apparently she has been signed for a reality series on the Sundance Channel. Also, her letters to President Bush inspired "Peace Mom," a one-woman monologue show in London (Vagina Monologues beware!). A memoir is in the works for next month, too. Yipee!

But back to our DUMBASS Sarandon, who will be portraying this "grieving mom" (who, it turns out, hasn't even ordered a gravestone for Casey) in this movie project. Sporting a Bachelors in Theater Performance, this brainiac is notorious for running her mouth about things she knows naught of - including the war in Iraq.

In fact, she seems to have a problem with the Democratic Presidential Hopeful - the August Hillary Clinton.

"She seems to be a very bright woman. I've met her. But she's lost her progressive following because of her caution and centrist approach. It bothers me when she voted for the war."

In futher comments on Hillary:

"There were brave people who didn't vote. She's not worse than other politicians, but I hoped she would be better. What America is looking for is authentic people who want to go into public service because they believe strongly in something, not people who are trying to get elected."

Well, she won't get much argument from me there. Too bad I can't just leave it there, but here are some of her thoughts on Politics:

But to be fair, the aging actress (60 this year) looks pretty good after all of those cosmetic surgeries - with nary a wrinkle. I wonder if they will have to "undo" any of those facelifts, botox treatments, lipo-suctions or chin-tucks to make her as hideous as her new pal Cindy? Hey, remember Charlize Theron in "Monster?" They can do this stuff...and perhaps they should name THIS movie "Monster II!?"

Phelps Protesting at G.I. Funerals ~ Dumbass with a Deathwish

Every now and then, someone comes along who makes it easy for just about everyone to hate them. Fred Phelps is such a man.

As the leader of the small (most are his family) and radically anti-gay church from Topeka Kansas, Phelps has been trying to get noticed since the mid-90's, when he and his followers took to protesting publicly against gays. Back then, he would seek out funerals of those who had died from A.I.D.S. and stage a protest.

As if that wasn't bad enough, now this group has taken a turn that I find much more despicable. They have begun to protest at funerals of our returning war dead - holding up signs (that should read "Kick my ass - I'm an IDIOT") with statements like "Thank God for IEDs" and "God Hates America." They claim to be protesting against the military for allowing gay servicemen - which are allowed in the service so long as they don't get caught having gay sex and/or don't tell anyone about their sexual orientation (another Clinton brainchild this one).

Now I don't know about you, but if my son, daughter or sibling had been killed in action and, during their funeral, this group showed up? There would be some bruised and battered congressioners running around in Kansas. This guy should be locked up in a small cell with Luis Farrakhan -then throw away the key! (And yes, I would pay to see that footage!).

Man, what is it with Colorado educators? Taking a page directly from the Ward Churchill playbook, Moonbat High School Teacher Jay Bennish was having a great time lambasting the United States, President Bush and Israel to his 10th grade "World Geography" class at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado - this in the week following the President's State of the Union address. What he didn't count on, while trying his best to misshape young minds, was young Sean Allen and his trusty MP-3 player.

After recording approximately 20 minutes of "quality education" from his teacher, Sean brought the cut home and played it for his Dad, who subsequently got no action from school officials and ended up taking the tape public. The proverbial excrement has since impacted the fan and, in the words of Mr. Bennish, here's a little taste of the "why:"

"He started off his speech (speaking of President Bush's State of the Union address) talking about how America should be the country that dominates the world. That we have been blessed essentially by God to have the most civilized, most advanced, best system and that it is our duty as Americans to use the military to go out into the world and make the whole world like us. Sounds a lot like the things that Adolf Hitler use to say."

What was that class he was teaching again... "World Geography??" Not History, Social Studies, Civics or Political Science - but World Geography?

"We're the only ones who are right. Everyone else is backwards. And it's our job to conquer the world and make sure they live just like we want them to. Now, I'm not saying that Bush and Hitler are exactly the same. Obviously, they are not. Ok. But there are some eerie similarities to the tones that they use. Very, very "ethnocentric." We're right. You're all wrong."

"Ethnocentric?" Bush? Now I would just love to hear him defend that assertion to any reasonably educated, news-savvy adult. But I guess it's much easier to brainwash the young. I can just imagine Doctor Condoleezza Rice walking into the classroom at just that moment.

"So, why does Mr. Bush think that other countries that are democracies won't wanna be like us? Why does he think they'll just wanna be at peace with each other?! What makes him think that when the Palestinians get their own state that they won't wanna preemptively invade Israel to eliminate a potential threat to their security just like we supposedly did in Iraq?! Do you see the dangerous precedent that we have set by illegally invading another country and violating their sovereignty in the name of protecting us against a potential future--sorry--attack?"

Well Jay, historically (I realize this is a bit out of the Geography realm), true democracies don't generally make war on each other. And since when was the invasion of Iraq illegal? Was it an act of war for Iraq to fire upon our aircraft over the No-fly Zone virtually every day? Was it an act of war to attempt an assassination of a former U.S. President? Did we not go to our own Congress and the United Nations before the invasion? Did we not give Saddam every chance to avoid war? If this Geography teacher was presenting a balanced picture, he might have included these arguments for his students to make up their own minds. Guess not.

And here is young Sean engaging the Moonbat (he should get an "A" for classroom participation!):

Allen: "But is it ok to say it's just to attack Israel? If it's ok to attack known terrorists, it's ok to attack Israel?"

Bennish: "If you were Palestinians, who are the real terrorists? The Israelis, who fire missiles that they purchased from the United States government into Palestinian neighborhoods and refugees and maybe kill a terrorist, but also kill innocent women and children. And when you shoot a missile into Pakistan to quote-unquote kill a known terrorist, and we just killed 75 people that have nothing to do with al Qaeda, as far as they're concerned, we're the terrorists. We've attacked them on their soil with the intention of killing their innocent people."

Allen: "But we did not have the intention of killing innocent people. We had the intention of killing an al Qaeda terrorist."

Bennish: "Do you know that?"

Allen: "So, you're saying the United States has the intention to kill innocent people?"

Hey, I like this kid! Seems to me he held his own against a quasi-educated Moonbat teacher pretty well - not bad for 16! And the GREAT thing is, after the dust-up over this recording, a certain World Geography teacher was forced to take administrative leave. Word is, he has lawyered up courtesy of the ACLU - that's the "American Civil Liberties Union." But the true question is this: Who's civil liberties were violated here, if not the students who deserve a non-biased education?

In what can only be described as his signature Bald-faced Racism and Hatred, Louis Farrakhan joined up with a veritable Rogues Gallery of African Americans (who also happen to be Dumbasses) Sunday afternoon as he condemned America for an audience of thousands at the ironically named "Saviors' Day," which this year was also touted as the "State of the Black Union 2006." If THIS is the state (of mind) of Black America, then the works of truly great Black Leaders (all of whom are now gone) was all for nothing. Zero.

Other Leading Dumbasses at the Hatefest included Danny Glover, Al Sharpton, Joe Lowery and Harry Belafonte.

"You are a weak nation now and your country has been taken from you by the synagogue of Satan. They own Congress. That's why the Congress ain’t right," Farrakhan said, referring to his conspiracy theory that Jews control the United States.

(Somehow, Farrakhan gets away with phrases like "synagogue of Satan." God forbid a Jew should reference "Mosques of Malevolence" - or even cartoons for that matter.)

Bryant Gumbel - NO CONSEQUENCES (imagine that?)

Bryant Gumbel shows us the inequity in Political Correctness. With a reputation for coming off like he's just a little better than anyone he interviews, he represents a liberal elite that can throw racial and political jabs willy-nilly into a sports program. Hey Bryant! This is supposed to be "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" - not "Real Moonbat Hatred with Bryant the DUMBASS!"

The National Leadership Network of Conservative African-Americans, also known as Project 21, had this to say about Gumbel's remarks in a press release:

"Everyone can understand a person's disdain for a particular sporting event, but for Gumbel to castigate an entire field of athletes who have worked a lifetime in pursuit of a dream - and then injecting race into it - is unforgivable," said Project 21 member Mychal Massie. "HBO, the station that employs Gumbel, features a lot of boxing. Should they be condemned for having too many Mexican boxers or not enough white ones? Should he be condemned for only having one other black on his news team? Following Gumbel's rationale, I would expect the answer to be yes."

"Interest in sporting activities are often dictated by environment. That's why Nordic and European countries have excelled in past Winter Olympics," said Project 21 member Deneen Moore. "It's a simple fact that winter sports are not part of black culture for both geographic and economic reasons. Accessibility, affordability and motivation are key requirements for individuals to excel in sport activities, not the color of one's skin. Mr. Gumbel should be aware of these obvious facts and not try to score cheap racial political points."

It seems to me that these folks are none too happy with Bryant "Teflon" Gumbel. And although they are themselves very politically correct in their remarks, it can leave one wondering why they are being so nice. Here, let me translate for them:

Teddy Finally Makes It ~ The Kennedy Dumbass

So WHY NOW WITH TEDDY? While there are plenty of reasons to name Ted Kennedy the DOTW virtually EVERY week of the year, I have resisted - knowing that if there was ever a slow week for DUMBASSES I could always count on Ted.

Now, as intimated above, Ted Kennedy is definitely low-hanging fruit in the world of dumbass detection. So, I'm not going to dig up old stuff, such as Chappaquiddick, where 29 year-old Mary Jo Kopechne, a secretary for his older brother Bobby, died at the hands of Teddy. Nope - not gonna go there. But YOU can - check out Y Ted K, a site that has more than you will ever want to know on this murder, ummm, accident.

One could easily write an epic novel-sized book to document the stupid shit said and done by this asshole. In recent memory, there were too many outrageously daft speeches Teddy gave during the 2004 campaign in support of fellow DUMBASS John Kerry to recount.

For instance, while Teddy has championed the estate tax and fought against tax shelters, he has repeatedly benefited from an intricate web of trusts and private foundations that have sheltered most of his family's fortune from the IRS. One Kennedy family trust wasn't even set up in the U.S., but in Fiji.

Another example: While he fought for the development of alternate energy sources, he opposed a plan to build a wind-power generating facility to provide clean, cheap power to Cape Cod. Why? The wind turbines would be constructed just off the coast from the Kennedy property in Hyannis - one of the family's favorite yachting and sailing areas.

Recently, his relentless attacks on the character of Samuel Alito concerning his once-documented affiliation with a "radical" conservative group at Princeton led to the disclosure of Teddy's own closet-banished-chauvenist organization, called the Owl Club, to which he has been a paying member for 52 years.

"I joined when I...52 years ago, I was a member of the Owl Club, which was basically a fraternal organization...I’m not a member; I continue to pay about $100." When asked about being a member of a club that practices sexual discrimination, he replied "I shouldn’t be and I’m going to get out of it as fast as I can."

Remember, THIS is the Senator who has "Grave and serious concerns" about Samuel Alito's character. BWAAA-HAHAHAHAHA!! It doesn't get any better than this, folks!

Hugo Chavez ~ A Despotic Dumbass

In the latest chapter of Hugo-Naughtiness, Chavez has now accused the highest Cardinal in Venezuela of conspiring against him - this after the clergyman chided El Presidente for the erosion of democracy, and his path to dictatorship.

On the heels of recent headlines, in which has-been celebrity Harry Belefonte visited Chavez and called President Bush "the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world," Cardinal Rosario Castillo made his remarks during a Mass to mark the end of a holy procession attended by thousands in a cathedral in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.

"A government democratically elected seven years ago has lost its democratic path and shows signs of dictatorship, where all powers are in the hands of one person who exercises them in an arbitrary and despotic way."

Of course, Chavez was none too happy with that, as he pointed out in his weekly Sunday broadcast:

"This is part of a provocation, part of a conspiracy, there is nothing innocent about this. It is a plot to destabilize the country. I demand the Catholic hierarchy distance themselves from this - the least we can expect is for you to reject this man's comments."

He seems to have a real problem with any kind of criticism. In fact, it turns out that his democratic government has taken to writing some very undemocratic rules- to the point of criminalizing free speech that suggests dissent. Take Article 147:

"Anyone who offends with his words or in writing or in any other way disrespects the President of the Republic or whomever is fulfilling his duties will be punished with prison of 6 to 30 months if the offense is serious and half of that if it is light."

Gee, I wonder if Dumbass Belefonte knew that little detail of his new buddy?

Last week, an Episcopal Conference of Catholic Bishops released a report challenging Chavez's claims to have bettered the lives of the poor and expressing concerns over the fragility of the country's democracy.

Why is this shithead so popular with so many in Venezuela? Chavez has spent billions of dollars in oil revenues on social, education and health programs. But his critics say his seven years in power have failed to tackle poverty and chromic crime. They say Chavez has extended his control over independent institutions such as the courts and the electoral authority as he tightens his grip on power.

Quite the little master of the game, right? He even contrived to send oil to some of the poorest, Katrina-smacked sections of the Gulf Coast. Do you suppose he did this to help? His hatred for President Bush is only eclipsed by his arrogance, greed and deception. He is a NATURAL member of Liberal Hollywood society - a veritable pock-marked Ricki Ricardo wannabe kissing that Fidel ass, while dreaming of the day he can hold a truly great country like the United States hostage for oil.

As big a Dumbass as Pat Robertson is (as shown last week), I don't deny that his call for putting this evil bastard down is not necessarily a bad one.

It's not that I disagree with everything the man says. He called for an assassination last August and, personally, I would LOVE to see a bullet find its way into Hugo Piece-O'-Shit Chavez. But a man in Pat Robertson's position should really watch his mouth - especially when it hurts conservative politicians that he publicly supports (guilt by association).

In this last blunder on Thursday, Reverend Dumbass decided to spout off during his 700 Club broadcast against Ariel Sharon - while the man is on his death bed:

"Here he's at the point of death. He was dividing God's land, and I would say woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the European Union, the United Nations, or the United States of America. God says: 'This land belongs to me. You'd better leave it alone.'"

What a MORON! What kind of complete dumbass is this guy? And what does 700-club stand for anyway -- make an ass out of yourself 700 times? This guy is working on it, apparently. Doesn't he know that it was Britain and the UN carved up Palestine/Israel and drew the borders. Then the Israelis themselves redrew this map following the Arab-Israeli War - and that is was NOT GOD?

Now, it's not that I am a huge supporter of Israel - but I will take them over their immediate (Read: "Arab") neighbors any day of the week. You want to draw conclusions? - be my guest, but I'm fairly confident that there have been no Israelis blowing up Americans lately - correct me if I'm wrong.

A word on "Televangelists" - I HATE these cocksuckers, with their self-righteous snake-oil salesman, fake-hair, scripted miracle healing BULLSHIT. I almost SHAT myself one night a few years back when I was channel-surfing and came across some Tele-DUMBASS. He was actually selling plastic viles of HOLY WATER! For some ridiculous price (like 19.99), this tiny tube of (probably tap-)water could heal the sick and dying.

It doesn't matter what color they are, Black and White - these con-men (and women) ALL deserve a bullet in the head. It pisses me off to see the folks that attend these things - they are usually poor and filled with desparation. And the folks at home, literally millions tune in 'religiously' and spend their welfare / social security money. And what do they get? Another lie, another letdown - and maybe another dead loved one who's last dime went for Benny Hinn's expensive Hair Transplant. Sick Fucks.

NYT's Source for NSA Wiretaps ~ A Leaking DUMBASS!

In yet another case involving leaked classified information, the New York Slimes will not reveal the Government Source who illegally informed them of President Bush's Secret Wiretaps on selected International Calls of suspected al-Qaieda TERRORISTS.

Oddly, the national media uproar is not over the leaking of Top Secret Information (such as with the outing of supposed Secret Agent Valerie Plame debacle), but rather is being directed at the President for trying to prevent another 9-11. WHAT THE HELL is wrong with THIS PICTURE?

"The N.S.A. program is a necessary program," stated the President on Sunday. "I was elected to protect the American people from harm. And on Sept. 11, 2001, our nation was attacked. And after that day, I vowed to use all the resources at my disposal, within the law, to protect the American people, which is what I have been doing and will continue to do."

So NOW, not only is President Bush in political hot water over taking the initiative to do his job to protect us, but now the Terrorist Cells in this country have been thouroughly briefed on what it is we do to catch them.

And if that isn't BAD ENOUGH, some incarcerated terrorists are planning to use this new information to have their cases overturned and THEN want to SUE THE PRESIDENT!!!

There comes a time in a Murdering Thug's life when he's got to walk the so-called "Green Mile" - and hopefully, if a certain celebrity Governor does the right thing, that will be the fate of this Monster Dumbass - Stanley "Tookie" Williams - on Tuesday of this week.

Of course, there are other contenders to be mentioned here (celebrities, imagine that!?). Those who have taken up the cause of this rabid dog include: Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dog, Russell Crowe, Harry Belafonte, Bishop Desmond Tutu and Jesse Jackson...all of whom have been Dumbasses in their own rights well before this side-show ever came up.

Jamie Foxx, who starred in the movie based on Williams' life (which reportedly takes LEAPS in artistic license) stated the following last year at the time this masterpiece was aired: "If (Williams) had been born in Connecticut in the same type of situation, and was a white man, he would have been running a company. But, born a black man who has the capability of having brute strength and the capability of being smart in the ways of the world, he's going to get into what he gets into."

Right. And born in a different town, Hitler would have been a Union Boss, Manson would have been a Nobel-Winning Poet and Scholar, and Ted Kaczynski (a.k.a. "Unibomber") would have been an Aerospace Engineer.

Here is some of what was submitted in a clemency letter from the rich and famoous defenders of this murdering piece of excrement:

"Each year at the holiday season, voices the world over cry out for peace. This year, one of them, a voice of great power, will be lost unless you act."

Yeah, lost like the FOUR PEOPLE HE MURDERED in cold blood back in 1979?

How many people lost their lives to the Crips under his leadership? Why does he continue to hang out exclusively with Crips who are also in the big house? Why has he never confessed his specific crimes of murder and asked forgiveness from the families of the slain?

This outlandish bizzaro-world letter concludes in a plea to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to please "affirm the human capacity for personal transformation and reinforce the meaning of hope for young people everywhere."

Young people? Like the child he slaughtered in cold blood, along with her family? Like the 26 year-old convenience store clerk he shot in the back?

What THE HELL is WRONG with these people? So what if he wrote some books and speaks out against gangs - this asshole should have been put down like the rabid dog he is over 20 years ago.

Okay, ya' just gotta ask yourself, "What in the HELL is wrong with this cat!?" Anyone who agressively volunteers his service to defend Saddam Hussein has got some kind of agenda - and it has nothing to do with justice nor conscientious law. But this is not the first time the nefarious former Attorney General Ramsey Clark has stepped up to defend bloodthirsty villains. Back in the day, he defended the PLO, the Branch Davidians and, more recently, former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic.

And that's not even half the story on this Dumbass! He has traveled to points all over the globe, criticising the United States at every turn. During the Hostage Crisis in Iran he flew to Tehran to attend a conference entitled The Crimes of America. He has since accused his own country of all manner of crimes - ranging from genocide to war crimes.

Clark left Amman this morning again for Baghdad and his new role as "Advisor" to Saddam. And his excuse for pushing himself on the defense of the "Butcher of Baghdad"?

"Everyone needs his own lawyer"

On the sad conditions of his new client:

"He has been held in total isolation, he hasn't seen any members of his family, any friends, anyone he knew before. When we first met him a week ago on Monday, it was very short and it was a social meeting, because he hadn't seen anyone for such a long time you don't feel like talking business."

His first tactic will be to prove the courts are illegitimate:

"The court has no authority or power to proceed until it establishes that it's legal," Clark said. "An illegal court has no right to arrest people, to hold people and to try people."

Clark has also expressed outrage over security for the legal teams of Saddam and his Baathist co-defendants, as two lawyers have been murdered.

"There's nothing in place to protect them, which is really an outrage," he said. "It's dangerous for them every day, and it's more dangerous every day they appear in court. So we want that protection in place."

While it is true that defendants have the right to a defense, this man is a former U.S. Attorney General who is prostituting himself out to thugs and enemies of his own country. And while I don't condone violence against attorneys in Iraq, if the next bullet should happen to find itself in his treacherous head, I will probably go straight to hell for laughing at this ridiculous shitferbrains who has done everything but sport an explosive vest (not a bad idea - so long as it goes off prematurely!).

Muqtada al-Sadr ~ AKA al-DUMBASS

Just when you think you've heard the last of the cherubic little Shi'ite fuzzball cleric who made such a stink in Iraq against coalition forces up to just a year ago, Muqtada Al-Sadr pulls a make-over worthy of Madonna and reappears in the guise of something else. In his case, a political player, and with a surprisingly large following of supporters - and enemies.

It doesn't hurt to have an influential father - young Muqtada's Dad was a very powerful Shi'ite cleric, who apparently bumped heads with Saddam Hussein's regime too many times. His car was ambushed in the town of al-Najaf, in 1999 - he and two of Muqtada's brothers were gunned down.

Although he retained a reasonable following from some of his father's original flock, he was not considered a real player in Iraq - that is, until his armed opposition to coalition forces and the United States in his stronghold of Sadr City until early 2004. Once it was clear that he would be killed or captured if he chose to continue armed resistance, he agreed to join the political process and disband his so-called Mahdi Army (albeit with a short-lived return to hostilities in the Summer).

Having urged his estimated 2 million supporters to abstain from voting on the constitution earlier this year, our chubby chameleon has done a 180 and has put forth a list of candidates for the upcoming December elections. Young al-Sadr then announced that he supports no one, and urged people to vote their conscience.

Pretty smart guy, right? Maybe, but I have severe doubts about this 31 year-old reaching 35. With his John Kerry-like flip-flopping, he has made some enemies. His Sadrist movement is splintering; he has been in constant conflict with the Grand Ayatollah of Iraq, Ali al-Sistani; is hated and feared by much of the Sunni population; and has a fair amount of American blood on his hands (including U.S. Army Specialist Casey Sheehan and many of his comrades in Charlie Battery of the First Cavalry Division).

He has proven to be a slippery one indeed, but methinks that luck may soon run out on this young upstart. He HATES America, despite our having removed his Father's killer from power. As far as I'm concerned, his death would be the end of just another DUMBASS.

ZARQAWI is DEAD! (Or, at least a DUMBASS!)

According to the news reports and the Blogosphere tonight, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi might have met his maker today. Too much to hope for, if you ask me, but a great opportunity to point out that he is exceptionally qualified for the position of DOTW!

As the self-appointed leader of "al-Qaeda In Iraq," this modern-day version of The Jackal is vying for dominance over Osama bin Laden and his henchman, Ayman Zawahiri in the al-Qaeda organization.

After a letter was intercepted from Zawahiri to Zarqawi back in July of this year, it is plain to see that there is a power struggel going on between these two dead-men-walking (I say that, because neither has a bright future). Zawahiri was not only asking for money, but was trying to gently subdue this Jordanian-born upstart whose love of slaughtering civilians has cause a very big PR problem - especially since the attacks in Jordan earlier this month.

These attacks, killing many members of a Jordanian wedding party, has gotten MILLIONS of Jordanians out into the streets against this heartless thug. In a letter of apology to Jordanians last week, he sstated "People of Islam in Jordan, we want to assure you that we are extremely careful over your lives … you are more beloved to us than ourselves." Of course, given the captured female would-be suicide bomber and her story of seeing all of the women and children of the wedding party, Jordanians are not buying it - and want some DUMBASS on a STICK!

Zarqawi also targeted the popular Jordanian King Abdullah Hussein, which also went over like a lead balloon.

How ironic that this head-chopping coward, with a cool 25 million clams on his head, might have been picked off yesterday in a gunfight with U.S. Forces in Mosul? How ironic, now that his own family has disowned him. If this DUMBASS actually DID get whacked, it would seem that there will be no one to attend his funeral - and I'm thinking that after all the fellow Muslims he has killed, the 72 virgins ain't happening either.

Jimmy Carter is CLEARLY a DUMBASS

Arguably the WORST American president in living memory, Jimmy Carter is apparently a prolific writer; now traveling the media circuit promoting his 20th book, entitled Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis. As yet another platform intended to assail his nemesis President Bush, and what he terms Christian "Fundamentalism" in general, Carter has gone completely off the deep end in his interviews. While it has been a tradition among former presidents to abstain from overt criticism of sitting presidents, Jimmy Carter is blasting both barrels at a time when President Bush's approval rating has hit an all-time low. (It should be noted that Carter's all-time low was 28% - a full 10 points lower than Bush's).

One critic sites "He criticizes fundamentalists for simplistic and superficial convictions, while he offers superficial and simplistic assessments of urgent moral questions."

Of course, I would put it very differently. Don't fool yourself - with this DUMBASS it is very much about lost opportunity, sour grapes, and money. His humanitarian work since losing a second term aside, Carter tends to pop into public awareness with his bitter whinings every few years - ad nauseum.

In his book, Carter attacks President Bush's "arrogance" and claims that he is using his "fundamentalism" to force this country down a path it does not want to follow. "This President has radically departed from (the policies) of all previous presidents."

If following the Carter example is what he means by a radical departure, than I am all for the departure - and as radical as can be. George Bush, unlike this Peanut-head, has made the hard choices for our country by doing what he felt was best. Even his staunchest critics admit that he is unwavering in carrying out his office, and seems to care little for polls to guide him in setting policy.

While recently in Kansas City, Missouri, Carter cited "In the last 5 years there's been a dramatic and disturbing and radical change in the values of this country." As an example, he added that peace is an American value, not pre-emptive war: "We don't wait until our country is threatened," Carter said, "we publicly announced our new policy is to attack a country, invade a country, bomb a country."

The actual policy collective, which has been called "The Bush Doctrine," included a warning that there would be no distinction between terrorists and those who harbor them. Policies for preemption and unilateralism were also delineated.

Stating that for many years the US supported the Geneva convention, saying we won't torture prisoners, he laments "our senators are voting to keep torture. It's inconceivable this would happen in the United States of America."

Two fully-fueled jumbo-jets slamming into the World Trade Center and killing nearly 3000 innocent people was pretty damned inconceivable too, ass-wipe! Before 9-11 came raining down on our heads, like so many bodies and buildings falling from the sky, this country was in a drugged out slumber. If slapping the beejesus out of a couple of terrorists saves even one American life, to me that is well worth the trouble. And to publicly debate where we draw the line on interrogations is just one more indicator to the common terrorist thug that we are weak and ineffectual (like a certain former president, perhaps?)

Just last week, The Washington Times reported that the (Evangelist Christian) President Carter had condemned America's abortion culture. "I have never felt that any abortion should be committed -- I think that each abortion is the result of a series of errors..."

No abortions? Ever? What about rape victims? Should they be forced to carry a rapists baby to term? And young adolescents or those whose life is endangered by the pregnancy - what about them? My point is, there has got to be a line in the sand, somewhere on this practice. I'm not too crazy about abortion, in general, myself - but there are always exceptions. It would seem that old Jimmy himself is letting HIS religion get in the way here.

My reaction to this DUMBASS goes something like this: Dear Jimmy Carter - If you had done your job as Commander-in-Chief back in 1979 we would not be where we are today, in fact may not need a strong leader like President Bush to make hard decisions, which you could not bring yourself to do when history came knocking. For 444 days, starting in 1979, 66 of America's sons and daughters were held hostage by a fanatical gang of Islamic fundamentalist thugs in Iran. The Iran Hostage Crisis could have been swiftly brought to a close if you had done the right thing. America was seen as weak throughout the world while you kissed Ayatollah Khomeini's ass, and since that time we have been victimized time and again by these very same Islamic Terrorists -- we have YOU to blame for setting the stage for what ultimately led to 9-11, and you should be thanking President Bush for4 having the balls to finally clean up your mess. Dumbass.

Jacque Chirac: A DUMBASS in DEEP SHIT

The French President Jacques Chirac is in some serious trouble - and it has much to do with the fact that he is a DUMBASS!

As riots rage across the interior of France, Chirac has failed after nearly two weeks to stop the spread of violence, which will ultimately make the L.A. Riots look like an argument at a traffic stop. This situation has been brought on by a weak French economy, extremely lax immigration controls (which led to one of Europe's most massive Middle Eastern communities) and an inexplicable superiority complex by French people toward these immigrants that they allowed into France by the millions. Chirac is out of his depth.

"Those who want to sow violence of fear, they will be arrested, judged and punished!"

30,000 cars destroyed, 41 injured police so far...and the cops haven't fired a single shot. HELLO!? I would be turning up the HEAT on these bastards, some of which are using firearms and gas bombs!

"We understand also that the evolution of things requires respect for everyone, justice and equality of opportunities - but there is a precondition: the restoration of security and public order."

What the hell? You ask me, it is friggin' RAMBO TIME -- what is it with these silly Frogs?

While I would not wish this even on the French citizenry, Chirac has been no friend to the U.S. and our coalition. His refusal to participate in ousting Saddam Hussein, perhaps due to his own involvement in the Oil-for-Food scandal, and his blustery speeches against President George Bush, have rendered him a sadly comical figure in the eyes of the world - and one who's political star is fading - fast!

A word about young Muslims in the Western World: For France in particular, and Europe in general, they need to wake the hell up! These Young Muslim Men (gee, doesn't that sound familiar?) are organized, angry and looking to turn Europe into a shithole - much like the one they or their parents came from.

When they showed up to these lands of opportunity, they expected a milder climate and a hand-out. Now that they are not getting fat and rich by doing nothing (other than attending one of hundreds of mosques sprouting up weekly across Europe, many of which are teaching DEATH to the INFIDEL!), and the taxpaying masses are getting tired of paying for the health care, feeding and education of people who will not assimilate into European culture, the situation is getting a little sticky.

Weak leaders across Europe have only themselves to blame for this madness. Chirac, who might very well come crawling to his allies before all is said and done (and I hope we tell him to "Eat Merde" when he does), has once again proven himself, in Chazz-speak, a TRUE DUMBASS!

Iran's President Ahmadinejad ~ Easier to just say DUMBASS!

Just when you start thinking to yourself "Hey, where is that Dumbass Qaddafi?" - in steps the next major disaster to grace the stage of the Middle East, Iran's newly (and foolishly) elected leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (try saying THAT three times fast!).

Last week, Ahmadinejad stated the following:

(Israel) "must be wiped out from the map of the world - and God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism." A sentiment he repeated again today. ..is this guy nuts?

Other Quotables:

"(Islamic nations) will not let its historic enemy live in its heartland," adding: "Israel must be wiped off the map." (An echo repeated often since Ayatollah Khomeini's nasty reign).

"My words are the Iranian nation's words. Westerners are free to comment, but their reactions are invalid."

Some backpeddling rom the Iranian Embassy in Moscow (imagine that!):

"Mr. Ahmadinejad did not have any intention to speak in sharp terms and engage in a conflict," said the Iranian embassy in Moscow, adding that Ahmadinejad "underlined the key position of Iran, based on the necessity to hold free elections on the occupied territories."

Okay, but this is still a true DUMBASS and I am guessing Iran will rue the day they brought this clown in!

Ex-FEMA Director Michael Brown ~ A Lying, Incompetent DUMBASS

Despite the inequity of blame following Katrina, it has to be said that disgraced former FEMA Director Michael Brown has turned out to be well-deserved of his national bashing.

Let me just preface this with the fact that both N.O. Mayor Nagin and LA Governor Blanco (our "DUMBASS of the Month" for September, by the way) are also MAJOR DUMBASSES who seem to have somehow ducked national anger. But this week is not about them.

Marty Bahamonde, a FEMA regional director and the ONLY FEMA AGENT to ride out the storm on location in New Orleans, told a Senate panel that is investigating the federal response to the disaster that he gave regular updates to people who were in contact with Michael Brown as early as Aug. 28, one day before Katrina made landfall. In turn, they turned a deaf ear.

This is in direct contradiction to Brown's testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee, during which he stated that he was "not fully aware of the dire conditions" until days later!

In e-mails to various FEMA officials, (one of which went to Brown), Bahamonde described a chaotic situation at the Superdome. He had e-mailed FEMA officials and noted also that local officials were asking for toilet paper, a sign that supplies were lacking at the shelter. He was stunned when evacuees continued to arrive by the thousands, despite his frantic e-mails to forestall this.

Later on, Bahamonde sent and urgent e-mail to Brown, telling him that thousands were gathering in the streets (outside the Super Dome) and that "estimates are many will die within hours...Sir, I know that you know the situation is past critical."

Less than three hours later, Brown's secretary wrote an email to manay FEMA operatives, including Bahamonde, saying "Also, it is very important that time is allowed for Mr. Brown to eat dinner. Gievn (sic) that Baton Rouge is back to normal, restaurants are getting busy. He needs much more that (sic) 20 or 30 minutes. We now have traffic to encounter to get to and from a location of his choise (sic), followed by wait service from the restaurant staff, eating, etc.

Less than an hour later, an incredulous Bahamonde to Public Affairs: "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! No won't go any further, too easy of a target. Just tell her that I just ate an MRE and crapped in the hallway of the Superdome along with 30,000 other close friends so I understand her concern about busy restaurants. Maybe tonight I will have time to move my pebbles on the parking garage floor so they don't stab me in the back while I try to sleep."

What a GREAT RANT! (wish I had written that email...brilliant!). But more importantly, if this Bahamonde was FEMA's only man on the ground in New Orleans, and sending such a flurry of e-mails (not all of which have been included here), how is it possible that Brown could not have known about them? Well, the only way is if Brown had a broken organization beneath him, which falls under his responsibility anyway...rendering him a basic DUMBASS regardless of which holds true. ;-)

Add to this mess that Mr. Brown was ill-qualified for the job in the first place. No, it wasn't like JFK appointing his own brother (RFK) to be Attorney General, but a bad choice nonetheless -- so in addition he was a REAL DUMBASS to accept the job in the first place.

Just when you were starting to be lulled into believing that racism had been pretty much defeated, and you could safely go bowling with your African-American neighbor without raising eyebrows, suddenly in recent months the cries of white racism are echoing loudly in all corners - and most of us whites didn't even know we are all still just racists! DON'T TOUCH THAT BOWLING BALL!!!

At 72 years old, Louis Farrakhan looks fit and powerful still (a life of concentrated hatred will do that for you) as he bellows his invectives at the "THOUSANDS" attending the "Millions More March" on Saturday, where the gathering was estimated to be far below that of the "Million-Man March" a decade earlier...which itself fell short of half a million.

"For five days, the government did not act. Lives were lost. We charge America with criminal neglect."

Of course, he is NOT charging the black Mayor of New Orleans with anything - in fact had stated in the aftermath of Katrina at a gathering in Charlotte, North Carolina, "I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach. It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry."

Now who wouldn't want to take the word of a man who has visited "the Mother Ship" with Elijah Mohammed?" Here are some other quotes from this intrepid Space Traveller:

Donald Sutherland - another Hollywood DUMBASS

In a recent interview with BBC (that's BRITISH Broadcasting Corp.), a weepy Donald Sutherland decided to jump on the the Bush-bashing Bandwagon and the President's handling of the war and Katrina.

Calling federal efforts "inept" and "inadequate to the task," he became increasingly unhinged. "And they were insulting, and they were vindictive. And they were heartless. They did not care. They do not care. They do not care about Iraqi people. They do not care about the families of dead soldiers. They only care about profit."

At one point during the session, Sutherland started crying: "We've stolen our children's future... We have children. We have children. How dare we take their legacy from them. How dare we. It's shameful. What we are doing to our world."

This aging actor also directed his attention to the media handling of Kanye West (our FIRST DUMBASS OF THE WEEK!) and slammed NBC for editing out West's rant against Bush during the star-studded Katrina relief broadcast on the west coast, saying "We're back to burning books in Germany!"

A few interesting snippets about the old guy. A Canadian citizen who spends most of his time in this country, ironically he is starring as Speaker-of-the-House in the (left-leaning) TV drama Commander-in-Chief....give me a friggin BREAK!

What many have forgotten, while he made his millions here in the U.S., is that Donald Sutherland was Jane Fonda's right-hand man in her disgraceful activities during the Vietnam war. They apparently formed an act, billed as quasi-USO "political vaudeville," called FTA ("Free the Army") which was turned into a film that was pulled after just one week. These two boneheads played to small towns along the west coast near military bases, intentionally trying to cause further dissent within the military while we were at war.

I'm sick of these HOLLYWOOD DUMBASSES - and (just for the record) am boycotting all movies featuring any of them. I don't pay a dime into the pockets of any of the moonbat actors who try to tell me how to think about war and politics. (Dumbasses!)

Nancy Pelosi - A Duplicitous DUMBASS in Drag

Okay, so she's not a drag-queen - but have you EVER looked upon a female visage quite like this one? She makes Hillary look like a teenaged prom queen - and may be well advised to lay of the face-lifts ahhhready!

Anyhow, about the dublicitous thing. Whilst BLASTING her nemesis from across the aisle, Tom Delay, for a shaky (at best) state indictment that has less than a chance in hell of conviction, Ol' Nancy has been in some hot water with the law herself. You didn't know that? Hmmmm...I wonder why the main-stream media didn't cover this one?

Anyhow, Congressman Pelosi shared the love with her colleague Tom upon hearing of his indictment. While trying not to trip in her unbridled glee to get to the microphone, Nancy stated: "The criminal indictment of Majority Leader Tom Delay is the latest example that Republicans in Congress are plagued by a culture of corruption at the expense of the American people."

However, On 22 September 2005, Pelosi was found to have violated federal election law. The three-year old complaint, filed by the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), alleged that Pelosi had violated federal election law via her running of two leadership PACs to circumvent contribution limits while contributing to Democrat Congressional campaigns. Pelosi was found guilty by the FEC and her two PACs ordered to pay monetary fines of $21,000.00. Where's the story?

Ken Boehm, NLPC Chairman, said: “We are delighted that the FEC has acted favorably on our Complaint. No member of Congress has ever set up a second leadership PAC to evade contribution limits. Pelosi has been caught violating the clearest and most basic law of all, the limits on contributions. Talk about hypocrisy.”

Cindy Sheehan ~ A Gold Star DUMBASS

Okay, so Cindy has been working very hard to make my DOTW - and I recognize that. Unfortunately for Ms. Sheehan's recently developed ego, there has been much more important news and she has been largely overshadowed as of late. However, being an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY kind of Dumbass Detective, I kept her in mind and am now prepared to recognize her achievement.

Congrats Cindy! YOU are the new DUMBASS Of The Week!!!!

First, a word on her TRULY HEROIC SON....Casey Sheehan. Despite your loopey mother, we honor your patriotism and sacrifice.

Casey Sheehan was an Army Specialist who served his Nation honorably until he fell in April 2004. Like millions of his equally brave countrymen over the last 229 years, he had volunteered to serve his country and paid the ultimate price. His life, and death, should be honored by all Americans.

As a mechanic in the 1st battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, Casey did not have to go into the battle that claimed his life. When some of his fellow soldiers encountered resistance, he and others in his unit chose to go into combat to save his friends.

Cindy Sheehan herself recounted it this way: "[T]he sergeant said, "Sheehan, you don't have to go," because my son was a mechanic. And Casey said, "Where my Chief goes, I go.""

Her husband has filed for divorce, and her own family has condemned her actions:

"The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect."

And now, Sheehan has hired a Public Relations firm to guide her through this peace movement. She has been joined by such liberal suck-ups as Jesse Jackson, Jessica Lange, Al Sharpton and Joan Baez.

During her camp-out in Crawford Texas, and then her Bus Tour to Washington D.C., she has blasted Israel, George Bush, Tony Blair, Hillary Clintonand our folks in uniform - and often with colorful language. She has staged mock "cry-ins for Casey," protests in which she lies about being "roughed up," and is now signing deals for PAID speaking tours.

This child-like, attention-addicted DUMBASS has outworn her status as "Grieving Mom" to most Americans. Her crowd of 100,000 descending on Washington D.C. amounted to far less than half of that, and we can only hope that this is a sign that her ride is about over.

Monday Update: After three ignored warnings to "move along" while staging a "sit-in" (or whatever it's called), DUMBASS pulled a Martin Sheen and got herself arrested by D.C. police. (Hey! Martin SHEEHAN....hmmmm ;-)

George Carlin - Still Not Funny, and STILL a DUMBASS!

As I recently watched George Carlin making a total DUMBASS out of himself last Friday night on Real Time with Bill Maher (who, incidentally, is also a real DUMBASS), I found myself asking (myself) two questions:

1) Has George Carlin EVER been funny? The answer for me goes way back to the 70's, when I first saw him "perform." I remember thinking to myself "Wow - this guy talks alot about farts, shit, masturbation, nose-picking etc. But sheesh, he is REALLY NOT FRIGGIN' FUNNY!"

2) How does a guy like Carlin, himself now a RICH WHITE GUY, get off saying such stupid shit on T.V., such as:

"It shouldn't be a surprise that rich white men don't care about poor black people. Period."

Ummm...can you say DUMBASS! I would be willing to bet that most poor black people don't give a shit about rich white guys (like George), either. Just a guess...

Now let's get real for a second here. George Carlin, who has been in and out of rehab for drug and alcohol addiction more times than I've been issued parking tickets (and that's a bunch, friends ;-) feels qualified to tell us how to vote and what is wrong with our government?

This 69 year-old washed-up junky/alchy has-been REALLY needs to find a nice, quiet shithole to retire and stock up his poisons. Leave the politics to those of us who can still qualify for security clearances and maybe rub a few brain-cells together...mmmkay, DUMBASS!?

Howard "DUMBASS" Dean

As if he hasn't said enough to rank as one of America's MAJOR LEAGUE DUMBASSES, Howard Dean stepped in it again...and certainly not for the last time.

Along with the OTHER DUMBASSES who have leapt onto the Katrina Bandwagon, DNC (Dumbass National Chairman?) Howard Dean is quoted with the following:

"We have to come to terms with the ugly truth that skin color, age and economics played a significant role in who survived and who did not..."

Now here's an original thought, from an original thinker! I can just imagine Dr. Dean, who grew up in the Hamptons and is a millionaire, salivating over the bad news in the Gulf states, while watching events unfold from one of his mansions.

Among other notable Deanisms (it's hard to choose ~ there are SO many):

-Claimed the Republican Party did not understand the lives of hard-working Americans because they "never made an honest living in their lives."

-Characterized Republicans as "a pretty monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It's pretty much a white Christian party."

-On Republicans and race: "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here."

-On Tom Delay: "I think Tom DeLay ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence!" (DeLay has never been charged or convicted of any crime).

-While campaiging for President: "I still want to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks."

Howard Dean is a man on a mission: To be the BIGGEST DUMBASS on the continent...and he is doing a terrific job! Keep it up, Doctor DUMBASS. WE LOVE YOU HERE ON DOTW!!!

Kanye West is a Rappin' Dumbass

CONGRATULATIONS KANYE! You are our FIRST DOTW, no doubt the head of a long line of DUMBASSES to come. And now, we have multitudes of other DUMBASSES (like Al Sharpton) jumping on this far-fetched and sadly laughable race card crap.

Kanye West, while participating in a televised fundraiser for disaster relief, proved that he is worthy of DUMBASS status. Apparently, Mr West is known for his brashness and confidence - none of which he showed during his disjointed and childish rant on NBC last Friday. See script below:

Kanye West: (Looking every bit the nervous DUMBASS) "I hate the way they portray us in the media. You see a black family and they say we are looting, you see a white family and they say they are looking for food. And, you know, its been five days because most of the people ARE black. And even for me to complain, I would be a hypocrite because I would turn away from the TV because it's too hard to watch. I've even been shopping before even giving a donation, so now I'm calling my business manager right to see what is the biggest amount I can give. And just to imagine, if I was down there and those are my people down there. If there is anybody out there that wants to do anything that we can help about the way America is set up the help the poor, the black people, the less well off as slow as possible. Red cross is doing as much as they can. We already realize a lot of the people that could help are at war right now, fighting another way. And now they've given them permission to go down and shoot us."

Mike Myers: (Turning white as a sheet) "And subtle, but in many ways even more profoundly devastating, is the lasting damage to the survivors' will to rebuild and remain in the area. The destruction of the spirit of the people of southern Louisiana and Mississippi may end up being the most tragic loss of all."

Kanye West: (Pauses nervously - maybe asking himself "Should I go ahead and be a DUMBASS?") "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Now, I'm thinking that this DUMBASS might actually be illiterate. It would help explain his incoherent rantings - at a nationally televised Disaster Relief Fundraiser, no less.

As this is my first post, I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell my (future) readers that this site will be rather, um, raw and to the point. If you can handle that, cool (if not, bite me! ;-)
