Iran's President Ahmadinejad ~ Easier to just say DUMBASS!

Just when you start thinking to yourself "Hey, where is that Dumbass Qaddafi?" - in steps the next major disaster to grace the stage of the Middle East, Iran's newly (and foolishly) elected leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (try saying THAT three times fast!).

Last week, Ahmadinejad stated the following:

(Israel) "must be wiped out from the map of the world - and God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism." A sentiment he repeated again today. ..is this guy nuts?
Other Quotables:

"(Islamic nations) will not let its historic enemy live in its heartland," adding: "Israel must be wiped off the map." (An echo repeated often since Ayatollah Khomeini's nasty reign).

"My words are the Iranian nation's words. Westerners are free to comment, but their reactions are invalid."
Some backpeddling rom the Iranian Embassy in Moscow (imagine that!):

"Mr. Ahmadinejad did not have any intention to speak in sharp terms and engage in a conflict," said the Iranian embassy in Moscow, adding that Ahmadinejad "underlined the key position of Iran, based on the necessity to hold free elections on the occupied territories."

Okay, but this is still a true DUMBASS and I am guessing Iran will rue the day they brought this clown in!

You are right, he is a DUMBASS. But then again, the region is full of them.

As to his comments on the states of Israel and the United States, this is the same old drivel that has been preached by every other leader of the region.

On a side note, it would be interesting to see if all of the Muslim countries could come together (as an armed force) without the political in-fighting that is common with such actions for the purpose of taking out Israel. Further, I would love to see the result, if the United States let Israel have free reign in the region.

I don't think that Iran will rue the day, they will probably make him a national hero.

Yeah, he's nuts.

Let's remember that Iran is ruled not by any figurehead President but by those wacko freaky religious Mullahs. It's the Mullahs that get the people all wound up with emotion and hatred against the West and Israel.

I wrote about Tony Blair earlier in the day @ R.F.L. and praised his analysis of Iran, Ahmadinejad and the importance--the wisdom--of Iran not having a nuclear weapon.

Rooster, this conversation brings back to my mind a comment made by Erin @ Surface Ripple a few months back. In response to one of my posts, she asked rhetorically, why shouldn't Iran, or any other nation, be free to develop nuclear energy/power for their own purposes?

I think this is a great example of why not.

And gentlemen, I leave you with this last thought: During the '04 Presidential campaign, John Kerry actually advocated giving Iran nuclear fuel.

What a DUMBASS!

I really hope they do rue the day... because it leads to a major, long-overdue ASS KICKING.

(Geez, I'm awful aggressive for a Canuck, eh?)

Hey Chazz,

I'd like to nominate Jimmy Carter as next week's DUMBASS.

The question is, between Iran and Syria, WHO IS GONNA GET IT FIRST???

My vote? Syria, since they are not nuclear capable, are the willing MAJOR SOURCE of insurgents into Iraq (over their border), and have a much weaker military. Not to mention, with the momentum already gained from getting their military out of Lebanon??

And Iran would DEFINITELY shit themselves when they saw what might happen to them next!

Good choice! He has to be one of the top dumbasses of the week. I also think Kent might be right about Jimmy Carter.

I do hope we take care of Syria, Iran and N. Korea. Talk about threats to the rest of the world.

he is a religious nut who believes there should be no seperation between church and state, that women should "obey their husbands", and that his religion is one true religion, all others being superstition which will land you in hell...

sounds a lot like our Commander in Cheif.
